2. Department of Accounting

The Department of Accounting is committed to provide high quality accounting education and research in China.The department has twenty-six academic staff, including eight professors and seven associate professors. The department has two undergraduate majors, namely accounting and financial management. We offer papers at all undergraduate levels through to postgraduate and doctoral studies for those wishing to become accounting professionals and researchers.


Our teaching programs place ever greater emphasis on innovation and progress, which are informed by research and responsive to the demands of industry and the profession. Our programs are taught by a number of exceptional scholars and practitioners.  We expect that our graduates could gain a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of accounting. The degree programs have attracted excellent students drawn from China and some Asian countries.


Research is another of our principal priorities. We undertake leading edge research in the areas of financial accounting, human resource accounting, working capital, and environmental accounting, and disseminate research findings through publication in Chinese leading accounting journals, such as Accounting Research Journal and Auditing Research Journal. In addition, the renowned “China Business Working Capital Management Research Center” is located and directed by the department.
