China-Japan-Korea and Southeast Asia Joint Symposium on Advanced Processing Technology & Safety Control of Aquatic Products was held in Huanghai Hotel, Qingdao on May 13-14. Twenty-eight experts from Japan, Korea, Indonesia, USA, Spain, etc., and more than 240 scholars from National Taiwan Ocean University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, China Agricultural University, Jiangnan University, Shanghai Ocean University, Dalian Polytechnic University, Dalian Ocean University, Bohai University, Hefei University of Technology, Guangdong Ocean University, Zhejiang University, Zhejiang University of Technology, Zhejiang Gongshang University, Jimei University, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, Heilongjiang Bayi Agricultural University, Zhejiang Ocean University, Central South University of Forestry and Technology, Huaihai Institute of Technology, East China University of Science and Technology, Nanjing Agricultural University, Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute (Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences), South China Sea Fisheries Research Institute (Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences), East China Sea Fisheries Research Institute (Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences), Ocean University of China, etc. attended this conference. Prof. Changhu Xue from School of Food Science and Engineering, OUC is the chair of organizing committee.

There are more than 50 presentations related to Nutrition and Bioactivities of Aquatic Products, Development of Aquatic Products Processing in China, Advanced Processing Technology of Aquatic Products, and Safety Control of Aquatic Products. This symposium is another conference organized by School of Food Science and Engineering, OUC after 2009 and 2012, and is an important platform of communication and cooperation in this research field. This symposium is co-organized by China Society of Fisheries, and School of Food Science and Engineering, Ocean University of China, and will promote the development of Processing Technology & Safety Control of Aquatic Products.
