OUC and the University of East Anglia (UEA) established the Sino-UK Joint Research Center in 2013 to promote cutting-edge research and teaching to tackle challenges of global significance. The center serves as a bridge between OUC and universities in the UK. It has witnessed fruitful cooperation in academic exchanges, research and joint education. Building on past collaborations, OUC and UEA established the Strategic Alliance in Integrative Ocean Science in 2014 and became each other’s strategic partner in 2016. Since 2013, seven joint symposiums on marine environmental sciences were held. The two universities also run the Joint International Programme for Innovative Talent Training of Marine Environmental Science.
