We make full use of the various platforms and funds set up by the Ministry of Education (MOE), the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs(SAFEA) and Shandong Provincial Government in order to recruit foreign experts. These programs allow us to recruit large numbers of high-quality overseas experts. Among our recruited specialists, five have won the SAFEA Friendship Award; seven have won the Qilu Friendship Award, given by the Shandong Provincial People’s Government; nine have been awarded the Teaching Excellence Prize for foreign experts and teachers working in Shandong Province; and six Nobel Prize winners have become honorary professors at OUC. Since 2012, we have recruited over 1,700 long-term and short-term foreign experts. Our on-going recruitment projects include four Innovative Talent Introduction Programs (Program 111), seven “Key Plans for the Introduction of High-Level Overseas Educational and Cultural Experts” projects, five High-Level Foreign Experts projects, six MOE “Internationally Excellent Teachers” projects, and six additional special projects at OUC.
