The Research Center for Shandong-ASEAN Exchanges and Cooperation is a provincial platform for international cooperation, established by OUC with the approval of the Department of Education and the Foreign Affairs Office of Shandong Provincial People’s Government in December 2020. The center is a new measure of OUC to serve the Belt & Road Initiative. It focuses on higher education in fisheries, conducting analysis of higher education information in ASEAN countries. In talent cultivation, the “Top Talent Training Program on Fisheries and Marine Environment in Asia” initiated by OUC has been selected to the third phase of the “Asian Campus” project of the Chinese Ministry of Education. The achievements of the KU-OUC dual-degree program have been included in The Collection of Excellent Cases of Belt & Road Educational Exchanges published by China Education Association for International Exchange.
