Led by OUC and the University of Bergen (UiB), the China-Norway Marine University Consortium Alliance is a collaborative innovation platform for research and education focused on marine and maritime fields, jointly established by marine and maritime universities of China and Norway. It aims to expand Sino-Norwegian cooperation in talent training, research, technology transfer, and cultural exchanges. With the support from the education ministries of China and Norway, the Alliance held its inaugural meeting online in October 2021. Currently, the Alliance has 24 partner universities from China and Norway. OUC and UiB each host a secretariat to facilitate the cooperation between Norwegian and Chinese partner universities.
