The feature of Arts Department in training talents, by which we distinguish ourselves from others domestic colleges and universities, is to emphasis the artistic practice, especially the construction of bands. The students who have joined the band are equipped with professional competences and abundant experience of ensemble presentations.

Taking into account the needs of the future development of China’s social and cultural industry, and the difference of the knowledge structure and hobbies of students between each other, our faculty is aimed at rearing three kinds of talents by strengthening the discipline-building of our faculty. The three categories include the creative talents, the professional performing talents and compound talents who possess not only certain performing skills, a good knowledge construction but also comprehensive cultural and artistic deposits. The important characteristic of our teaching is to satisfy the various demands of the building of cultural industry with talents belonging to different categories.
