Overview
Since its introduction in 2012,the International Master Program of Environmental & Natural Resources Law (ENRL) has trained more global talents in the area of international environmental and natural resources law than any other programs or law schools in China. This international master program is unique in its nature: · A 24-month program that provides an opportunity to study in a renowned institution devoted to the marine and environmental sciences; · A multidisciplinary array of environmental courses in law, policy, science, economics, and ethics; · A faculty with an established record of excellence in teaching, research and consultancy in the field of international environmental and natural resources law; · An extraordinarily high faculty/student ratio: 1:1 · An international campus located in China, the country that has an increasingly significant role in formulating and implementing international environmental policy.
The School of Law & Political Science (SLPS) was one of the first law schools in the country to develop a comprehensive and integrated curriculum in environmental law. With it came a commitment to ensure the sustainability of our natural and built environments. As the environmental law program grew and prospered, it consistently achieved one of the highest rankings in the nation as an academic and action center. The SLPS is one of the leading law schools in China in terms of international cooperation. It has established partnerships with more than 18 law schools and international organizations across 11 countries and districts. Every year, dozens of legal scholars come to the SLPS giving lectures, teaching courses, and conducting research. With its global horizons, the SLPS is dedicated to building a vibrant community and creating an environment that facilitates critical thinking and reflection on the fundamental legal issues confronting our interconnected world.
The Ocean University of China (OUC) is one of the top research-oriented comprehensive universities in China, with special focuses on marine and environmental sciences. It offers 69 undergraduate programs, 196 master programs and 83 doctoral programs, administered within 19 colleges and departments. There are more than 45,700 registered students, including 14,300 graduate students. The university has been committed to establishing a global university since the 1950s when the first foreign students came to study at the OUC. Currently, more than 900 international students from over 50 countries are an integral part of the student body and the university.
Qingdao is a picturesque coastal city in Shandong Province, Eastern China. With over 8 million population, Qingdao is a major seaport, naval base, and industrial center. The city is renowned for its German-style architecture, the world-class Tsingtao Beer, a gorgeous tourist attraction Mount Lao, and the scenic coastal line. In 2009, Qingdao was named China's most livable city by the Chinese Institute of City Competitiveness.
