Institute for International Studies of Ocean University of China was established in 2003 which engaged in researching in international political theory, internationalocean politics, international environment politics and Northeast Asiainternational politics. The research center consists of 10 researchers fromwithin and outside university who undertake several academic research projectsgranted by the state, provincial governments and ministries of the StateCouncil. The research center cooperates with related departments of the state,provides enquiries for government’s decisions and services for the security andbenefit of the state and engages in building a domestic first class andinternationally famous think tank.
