Welcome to Schoolof Law & Political Science，Ocean University of China (OUC) (herein after referred to as OUC Law) and thank you for your interest in our law school. OUC Law, a top law school, is located on a beautiful campus in Qingdao--an environment-friendly coastal city in China.
OUC Law offers a wide array of courses that enable students to shape their own professional identities. There are opportunities to pursue environmental law, marine law, internationallaw, criminal law, administrative and constitutional law, business law and much more. For those interested in marine law, the Institute for Law of the Sea andthe Sino-Australian Joint Research Center for Coastal Zone Management can provide with abundant resources. The law school’s environmental law program,one of the top programs in the country, provides in-depth courses and lots of opportunities to participate in national level projects and meetings.
OUC Law has long been a leader in the interdisciplinary study of law, especially in law and policy, sociology, as well as governance. Our 80 faculty members areleading scholars and award-winning teachers in law, political science, andpublic administration. They form strong teams to tackle the national keyproject on China’s ocean development strategy and the most advanced legal and political issue in the Arctic Region.
Beginning in early 1980s, OUC Law started to build cooperation with government, court system, procuratorate system, law firms and international organizations to provide students with a variety of internship opportunities. OUC Law makes great efforts to build international cooperation as well. We have created many dual-degree programs with foreign law schools and invite outstanding professors and scholars from the world to teach here every year.
