Department of Chinese Language and Literature

The Department of Chinese Language and Literature is the institution that the college grew out of, and it established the first B.A. Chinese Language and Literature program in the college. The department has a strong team of 23 faculty members, who have rich experiences and strong research and teaching capacity. Among them, 13 are professors (5 doctoral supervisors), 3 associate professors and 7 lecturers. A total of 17 faculty members are PhD holders and 2 of them are Ph.D. candidates. Apart from the undergraduate program in Chinese Language and Literature, the Department currently offers 6 graduate programs of first-level discipline, including Ancient Chinese Literature, Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature, Chinese Language Philology, Theory of Literature and Art, Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, Comparative Literature and World Literature.
