Yang Ruifang, was born in Dongming, Shandong Province on Nov, 1976. She graduated from Capital Normal University and attained the degree of Master of Arts in 2003. From 2009 to 2010, she spent one year in Dankook University of Korea as visiting professor. Since 2011, she has been studying for her doctorate in East China Normal University. Her major research fields are characters' developing history and the spread and application of overseas characters.

During the last ten years, she has taught eight courses such as ancient Chinese, the development of Chinese characters,the introduction of ShuoWenJieZi. Her main works is the collation and study of ZiLeiZhuShi. Besides, she has published many papers in domestic and international core journals including “Lexicographical studies”, “The Study of Chinese Characters” etc.
