Yang Xiuying

Yang Xiuying (1972 - ), Ph.D., an associate Professor of Liberal Arts, Journalism and Communication, Ocean University of China, She, is mainly engaged in the study of marine history and literature.


She started her teaching in 1990, and has served as a high school teacher for five years. In 1995 she graduated from the Chinese Department of Shandong Institute of Education and got her bachelor's degree. In 1997, she studied at the College of Liberal Arts, Shandong University majoring in Chinese history, and got her master's degree in 2000. From 2000 and 2003, she studied the Chinese classical literature in History and Philosophy Institute of Shandong University, and won her Ph.D. in 2003. During the period, she participated in ancient books collection and research work   in the department of literature of Shandong library. From 2003, she has worked in the Ocean University of China, and has taught the undergraduate Courses such as "Ancient Chinese", "Introduction to literature and history", "Chinese classical literature", "The Introduction to Analects" etc.  She also teaches the history of Chinese graduate students “ Chinese historical documents "," Chinese maritime history and literature" courses.


Since the beginning of 2003, she has engaged in the marine history and literature research and collection work, and has been in charge of three research projects including the research programs from “Shandong Education Department” and OUC.
