Xue Yongwu (August, 1957- ) is a professor and the dean of the College of Liberal Arts, Journalism & Communication of Ocean University of China, as well as the PhD supervisor of Culture Industry Management. He is also the director of National Research Center for Cultural Industry, an expert in talents studies, a pioneer of Talent Aesthetics, the vice president of the Specialty Committee of China Talent Studies, the chief expert of Association of China Talent Studies, the expert of Chinese Culture Exchanges, the director of Institute of the Chinese and Foreign Literary Theories, the director of Institute of Chinese Marine Development, the peer-reviewed expert of National Funds of Social Science.

Specializing in talent development, cultural innovation and enterprise planning, Prof. Xue has undertaken and participated in nine research programs. Prof. Xue has dedicated to teaching and scientific research for 30 years, and he teaches graduate and undergraduate many courses, including Philosophy of Life, Ancient Poems, Literary Theory, Literature Methodology, Western Literary Theory, Aesthetics, Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literary Theory, Human Resource Management, Talent Development, the Science and Art of Leadership, Administrative Law, Sociology, Social Psychology, etc. In addition, Prof. Xue has created an experiment of educational reform—" Naming Method of EQ" and founded the “Talent Cultivation Model of Mountain Type”. And he firstly carries on an exploration of potential development of university students and the cultivation of their EQ.

Prof. Xue has authored or co-authored 19 books and published 138 research papers in Literary Criticism, Guangming Daily, People’s Daily, ect. Among his academic works, many are introduced or reprinted by China National Radio, Economic Information Daily of Xinhua News Agency, People’s Daily and Guangming Daily as well as more than 200 websites in the nation. China Central Television (CCTV), Guangming Daily and some other news media have done many exclusive interviews with him.
