Mr. Fengqiao Wen, Doctor of Literature, is the professor in the College of Liberal Arts, Journalism & Communication of Ocean University of China (OUC). He is now the director of Institute for Wang Meng’s Literature Study, the executive editor of the Journal “Wang Meng Study” as well as the vice president of Literary Critics Association of Qingdao. In 2009, he was accepted by Chinese Ministry of Education as a member of the “Program for New Century Talents in Universities”. Besides, he used to be a visiting scholar of Stanford University and University of Washington.
He is the authors of 14 books, including Thoughts on Wang Meng’s Literature and Art, Zhang Henshui’s Novels in Modernity Perspective, The New Review of Zhang Henshui’s Novels, The Twentieth century Chinese Literature in Modernity Perspective etc. In recent years, he has published more than 70 academic papers in the journals such as People's Daily, Literary Gazette, Literature Review, Chinese Writers, Modern Chinese Literature Studies, Novel Review, Journal of Literature, History, & Philosophy, etc. Among his papers, some of them have been reprinted by Xinhua Digest, Research Center for Social Sciences of RUC and other academic journals.
He has undertaken and participated in more than ten research programs including “National Funds of Social Science”, “Funds of Ministry of Education”, “Funds of Social Science Supported by Shan Dong Province” etc. He has won many academic awards, including “Social Science Awards of Shandong”, “Liu Xie Prize for Literary Criticism of Shandong”, “Scientific Research Awards of Institutions of Shandong”, “Tiantai Awards for Talents” of OUC, etc.
