Wang Qingyun

Wang Qingyun, (female, born in 1962) is now a professor in the College of Liberal Arts, Journalism & Communication, Ocean University of China and a postgraduate supervisor in the filed of Ancient Chinese Literature as well as Linguistics and Applied Linguistics. She received her bachelor degree of Literature from Shandong University in 1983 and then furthered her study in the Department of Chinese Language of Beijing University in 1991.

Her research fields lie in Ancient Chinese Literature, Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language and International Sinology. Her main academic works are Ancient Chinese Literature (the novel album), Ancient Chinese Literature (the poetry album) and A Dream of Red Mansions and Chinese Literary Tradition. She has edited Study on Modern Chinese and Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. She has published lots of academic papers in Literature, History and Philosophy, Shandong Social Science, Journal of a Dream of Red Mansions, Language Teaching and Research, Chinese Humanity Science in South Korea, etc. In addition, she has undertaken many academic research projects at national, provincial and university level.

From 1998 to 1999, she worked as a teacher in the Department of Chinese Language in Trier University of Germany; from 2004 to 2005, she was engaged in cooperative research in that university; from 2010 to 2012, she worked in the Confucius Institute, Texas A&M University of America.
