Sun Lan, born in 1971, is the associate professor and Master’s Supervisor of College of Liberal Arts, Journalism and College of Liberal Arts, Journalism and Communication, Ocean University of China. She received her Ph.D. in Chinese Department of Shandong University. Her research areas are classical Chinese literature and teaching Chinese to foreign students. The courses she teaches include “Classical Chinese Literature” and “History of Chinese Poems”( to the students in the Chinese Department) and “Classical Chinese Literature”, “Chinese Culture”, “Advanced Chinese”, “Listening and Speaking Chinese” and “ Chinese Writing” (to foreign students). From March 2006 to February 2007, Dr. Sun Lan taught Chinese at Rende University in South Korea. She is the author of the books Study on Xietiao , Chinese Ancient Literature (special teaching materials for foreign students). She has published nearly 30 research papers and now she is in charge of the research projects such as The Images of Chinese Classical Landscape Poems, funded by Department of Culture of Shandong Province, Study on Xietiao and The Historical Development of the Images of Chinese Classical Landscape Poems funded by Ocean University’s humanities development grant as well as Situational Chinese Teaching—Chinese Culture funded by College of Liberal Arts, Journalism and Communication development grant. She received the second prize award of Shan dong culture and art science for her academic paper the Aesthetic Images Change of Ancient Chinese Scenic Poems.
