   Dr. Li Huajun , a professor of Ocean Engineering in Ocean University of China, was born in Tianjin in Feb. 1962. He received his Ph.D. degree of coastal and offshore Engineering from Kyoto University of Japan in 2001. From 1997 to 2001 he spent his times in Japan and USA as a visiting scholar. He was appointed as Director of Shandong Key Laboratory for Ocean Engineering in 2006. Prof. Li was appointed as the Vice President of Ocean University of China in 2009.

   Prof. Li has long been engaged in the research of offshore structural dynamics and disaster mitigation engineering of offshore structures. He is also leading a team working on hydrodynamics. Prof Li has been the PI for 22 projects during last decade, including State Key Projects of “863” program,973 Program and the projects funded by NSFC.

   Prof  Li is “Changjiang honored Professorship”, and has been crowned National Award for Science and Technology in 2004 and 2010. He is also awarded many other honored titles and prizes such as 4 first and 3 second Provincial or Ministerial Science-Technology Progress Prizes. He is also the holder of 7 National Invention patents and the author/co-author of over 170 research papers and 1 book. Currently he is member of the Editor Board of Journal of Ocean Engineering and the associate editor of the Editor Board of Journal of Coastal Engineering.
