SHI, Jiuxin 
Research Interests:
I focus on understanding variations of watermasses and circulation in the polar oceans, as well as the ice-ocean interactions, particularly in the Pacific inflow and halocline in the Arctic Ocean, the shelf waters and Antarctic Circumpolar Current in the Southern Ocean, and the dynamic and thermodynamic processes in the coastal polynyas and in the cavity of sea water under Antarctic ice shelves.
