Ocean University of China Education Foundation, Shandong, formally established in April 2010, is a private foundation approved by the Department of Civil Affairs of Shandong Province and charged by the Shandong Provincial Department of Education. It is an organization of OUC to accept donations, and carries out comprehensive coordination and management of such acceptance. It aims to support and promote the building of OUC in all aspects. At the beginning of 2017, it was identified as a charitable organization; in 2018, it obtained the 5A grade (the highest level) of social organization assessed by the Department of Civil Affairs of Shandong Province; in 2023, it was prized “5A grade social organization” for the second time. 

Since its inception, the Foundation has consistently pursued excellence. It has been qualified for pre-tax deduction and tax exemption of public welfare social organization and public welfare donation, and it assists OUC to apply for the Central Level Special Funds of Donations for Universities, thus upgrading the donation benefits to the national level of public welfare undertakings and contributing to the education development of OUC.
