On June 6, Alexander Fedorov, Rector of Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University (IKBFU), visited OUC with his delegation. Vice President Fan Qiwei received the guests. Fan briefed the delegates of OUC’s general information and unique strengths, and past exchanges and cooperation with Russian institutions. He expressed high hopes for both universities to establish friendly relations and leverage their respective strengths to conduct practical cooperation in marine science, polar studies, linguistics, education, sports, and cultural fields. Alexander Fedorov introduced IKBFU, noting that the two universities share commonalities in academic disciplines. He hoped to promote academic exchanges and joint student training. During the meeting, the two sides signed an MoU. Representatives from both sides exchanged views and discussed their respective research fields and modes of cooperation, reaching a preliminary consensus on collaboration.
