On April 18, 2024, the World Bank-China Morocco Blue Economy Knowledge Exchange Seminar was held at OUC. A delegation of Moroccan experts led by Co-Coordinator Fellahi Siham   of the Blue Economy Program Management Unit of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Directorate of Budget, and Senior Environmental Specialist Martin Ochoa of World Bank, attended the meeting. 

Director Li Weidong of the International Office of OUC, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. He extended a warm welcome to the delegation, and expressed hopes of promoting cooperation between China and Morocco in blue economy. Associate Prof. Zheng Hui from the College of Economics of OUC made an academic report. After the presentations, the delegates had an in-depth discussion about blue economy, fisheries and aquaculture, and coastal zone management.
