On March 12, a delegation led by Mr. Rob Wilson, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Tasmania visited Ocean University of China (OUC). Prof. Liu Yong, Vice President of OUC, met with the guests.
Vice President Liu Yong extended a warm welcome to Prof. Wilson and his delegation and briefly reviewed the cooperation between the two universities.
He spoke highly of the joint education program in marine science and the new progress in academic exchanges, collaborative research and other aspects between the two universities. He hoped that the two sides would continue to broaden areas of cooperation and jointly produce substantive outcomes.
Mr. Wilson expressed his thanks for the warm reception and congratulated OUC on its centennial anniversary. He expressed his expectation for strengthening joint education through adding a “3+2” program.
Before the meeting, the delegation met with the students of the College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences.
