On September 26th, David Lewis, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology of the University of Adelaide, and Prof. Qiao Shizhang and Prof. Guo Zaiping, academicians of the Australian Academy of Science, visited Ocean University of China. President Yu Zhigang met with the guests and the two sides exchanged ideas on deepening cooperation.

President Yu Zhigang briefly reviewed the history of friendly exchanges between the two universities, and congratulated Prof. Qiao Shizhang and Prof. Guo Zaiping on their election as academicians of the Australian Academy of Science. He hopes that the two sides could extend the current cooperation to more academic fields, and explore possibilities of joint education and faculty and student exchange in chemistry and materials science.  

Prof. David Lewis fully acknowledges the achievements made by the two universities in joint talent cultivation and academic exchange, and hopes to have more in-depth exchanges and cooperation with OUC, better integrate the educational resources of the two universities, and cultivate more international talent.
