On September 20th, Prof. Richard A. Williams, the Principal and Vice-Chancellor of Heriot-Watt University, led a delegation to Ocean University of China. President Yu Zhigang and Vice President Liu Yong met with the guests and held discussions about deepening cooperation between the two universities.
President Yu Zhigang briefly reviewed the friendly exchanges between Heriot-Watt University and OUC. He spoke highly of the fruitful achievements in the Sino-foreign cooperative education program in computer science, and suggested the sharing of high-quality educational resources to fields such as mathematics, physics, finance, and food science and engineering. OUC will continue to work with Heriot-Watt University in academic exchanges, collaborative research, and other aspects, striving to push the cooperation to a new level for more substantive outcomes.
Prof. Richard A. Williams fully recognized the outstanding achievements made by the two sides in cooperative education, academic exchanges, and other aspects. He introduced the educational advantages of Heriot-Watt University. He hopes to further strengthen the collaboration with OUC in cooperative education, as well as faculty and student exchange.
After the meeting, a ceremony was held to appoint Prof. Richardson as an honorary professor of OUC.
