It entered the Q3 zone in the field of marine science in the JCR rankings, showing a steady improvement in academic indicators.
The Marine Life Science & Technology (MLST) journal, jointly hosted by OUC and Laoshan Laboratory, achieved an IF of 5.7, also reaching a new high. MLST was included in SCIE in 2021, and in June 2022, its first impact factor was 5.0, representing a 14% growth compared to the previous year. It has shown steady improvement in JCR academic indicators.
MLST is categorized under Marine & Freshwater Biology in JCR. In this field, the IFs of many journals have shown a downward trend this year, with the IF of the 10th-ranked journal being only 3.6. However, MLST's IF has maintained strong growth, placing it among the top 5 journals in the 106 journals of Marine & Freshwater Biology and continuing to maintain its position in the Q1 zone. This brings it one step closer to achieving the goal of becoming a flagship journal in the field.
