Recently, Advances in Atmospheric Sciences (AAS), an internationally renowned academic journal in the field of atmospheric sciences, announced awarded Prof. Li Jianping, Dean of OUC’s Academy of Future Ocean and Director of the Frontier Science Center for Deep Ocean Multisphere and Earth System the 2023 Outstanding Editor Award.

As a collaborating journal of the International Association of Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences (IAMAS), AAS is sponsored by the Chinese Committee of the IAMAS, the Institute of Atmospheric Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Chinese Meteorological Society. As one of the top-tier English-language journals in China, AAS features innovative research results in atmospheric and oceanic sciences. The annual Outstanding Editor Award is given to a member of the editorial board who demonstrates outstanding performance in editing special issues, submitting important articles, and handling manuscripts in terms of quantity, speed and quality control. This is the second time that Prof. Li Jianping has won this award.
