According to the latest issue of Essential Science Indicators (ESI) released by Clarivate, Ocean University of China (OUC) ranks the top 1% globally in computer science. This is the 11th research field in which OUC has entered top 1% according to the ESI.

The ESI is an analytical tool that helps identify top-performing research on the basis of the Web of Science. It draws statistics and ranks countries, research institutes, journals, papers, scientists in 22 fields. Being included in the top 1% in a field means that an institution’s publication in SCI/SSCI journals has been most cited in the past ten years. The analysis is based on the 10-year rolling data of the Web of Science, updated every 2 months.
