Dr. Yu Zhigang has been named the new president of Ocean University of China (OUC), according to an announcement released at a meeting attended by OUC faculty and staff on July 4, 2014.
The announcement was made by Mr. Du Zhanyuan, Vice-Minister of Education, who also announced that Dr. Sun Yegang will serve as the Party Chief of CPC OUC committee.
Dr. Wu Dexing, former president of OUC, will no longer serve as the president since he has reached his retirement age.
