Ocean University of China (OUC) Vice President Li Huajun met with Deputy Vice Chancellor of Curtin University Charlie Thorn, and Professor Wang Xiangyu, Woodside Chair of Curtin University, at OUC’s Laoshan campus on June 30, 2014.
Vice President Li welcomed the Australian guests and gave an overview of OUC. The two parties discussed issues concerning the Joint Cooperation Center for Marine Engineering and Technology among Curtin University, OUC, and Qingdao High-tech Industrial Development Zone, as well as the Joint Research Center for Ocean Engineering and Technology.
Deputy Vice Chancellor Thorn is the third deputy head from Curtin University to visit OUC after Prof. Brett Kirk’s visit in March and Prof. David Wood in May this year. The meeting was followed by a lecture at OUC’s College of Engineering given by Deputy Vice Chancellor Thorn and Prof. Wang Xiangyu.
