President Wu Dexing (Right) met with Professor LEE

Professor Lee Ki-Su, former President of Korean University and Chairman of the Sentencing Committee of the Supreme Court of South Korea, visited Ocean University of China (OUC) on June 11, 2014.

OUC President Prof. Wu Dexing met with the guest. Exchanges were made to strengthen academic cooperation and provide opportunities for internships and overseas studies.

In his welcoming speech, President Wu said that numerous exchanges and cooperation were facilitated between OUC and Korean University when Prof. Lee Ki-Su was its president. The two sides have signed an Agreement on Academic Exchange to establish cooperation for long-term collaboration, and for facilitation of education and research, which have yielded fruitful results.

Prof. Lee also responded positively upon revisiting OUC. He said that he has been following OUC’s development through multiple channels, and was very delighted to see the tremendous achievements made by OUC in scientific research, training of talent, and other fields. Although he is not serving as president any more, he could still use existing resources to fund and support OUC students to study in Korea. He would also like to provide the students with opportunities to practice and learn, so as to contribute his share to the training of students and the development of related disciplines.
