A delegation led by Iain Watt, Vice Chancellor of the University of Western Australia(UWA), visited Ocean University of China (OUC) on May 14 to exchange ideas concerning the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding(MOU), joint-training programs for graduates, and in-depth cooperation on scientific research between the two sides. Vice President Li Huajun from OUC met with the delegation.
In his welcoming speech, Vice President Li said that the University of Western Australia is a top-notch institution of higher learning. “I hope we can sign the MOU this year and carry out our cooperation in an enduring manner. We are able to develop the 2+2 joint-training programs for graduates, while at the same time we also can conduct deep collaboration on scientific projects, ” said Vice President Li.
Mr. Iain Watt, who is responsible for the international affairs of UWA, echoed President Li, saying, “I hope we can step up our efforts on these issues and yield fruitful results .”
The meeting was also attended by representatives from the Graduate School and the International Office.
