Brief introduction of research direction:
Some corresponding chemical additives are required in the process of oil filedexploration and development, for example the drilling, extraction andtransportation of the petroleum and natural gas (including shale gas) and waterconditioning and improvement of oil recovery. The chemical agents includedrilling mud treatment, oil extraction chemicals, gathering and transportationchemicals, water treatment chemicals and chemicals to improve the oil recovery.
Due to different reservoir conditions, the performances of the crude oil, waterquality and the rock are various, which needs a targeted research and rationaluse of oil additives, and also a variety of academic theory( such as organicchemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, chemical engineering,analytical chemistry, hydromechanics, reservoir engineering and computationalmathematics, etc.) to innovative study and fair use of oil field chemicaladditives.
In the development of the low permeability and ultra-low permeability oil-gasfield, we search for appropriate high performance chemical agents to overcomeJamin effect and water-blocking effect to improve the recovery ratio ofoil-gas. Meanwhile, we develop environmental friendly fracturing fluid andacidizing fluid in the protective exploration of oil and gas reservoir. Forwater flooding development of the water-sensitive oil reservoir, clay stabilizers with high efficiency and lowpoison are researched and the cost of using auxiliaries are taken intoconsideration at the same time. For the exploration and development of shalegas, efficient fracturing and clay anti-swelling and stabilization technologyare studied.
Our research contents include chemical preparation, performance evaluation(including basic theory), formula selection, construction design and filedtest. In addition, we try to solve engineering technique problems in theprocess of oil field operations (such as drilling fluid, completion fluid, fracturingfluid and all kinds of hydrocarbon reservoir protection fluid in the killingwell and acidification process in various workover job, operation well andperforation completion, etc.)
