Research Interests

Yu’s general areas of expertise are marinechemistry and marine environmental science. His research interests include seawater analytical chemistry, biogeochemistry of biogenic elements in aquaticecosystem, geochemical behaviors and tracing techniques of radio-isotopes, molecularecology of harmful algae and carbon cycling in estuaries and marginal seas.  


Representative Publications and Achievements

In his expertise areas, Yu has published 67 journalarticles in international refereed journals, such as Marine Chemistry, Continental Shelf Research, Biogeochemistry, Estuarine,Coastal and Shelf Science, andHarmfulAlgae.  He was awarded 22national patents and 2 utility patents. He was the PI (or co-PI) of more than 20 projects, including theMinistry of Science and Technology 973 program, 863 program, NSFC MajorInternational (Regional) Joint Research Project.  Here listed his representative publications:
