Qingdao Key Laboratory of Marine Fine Chemicals focuses on thesocioeconomic development demands of Qingdao, Shandong Province and even the whole country persistingin the principle on high starting point, high goals, innovation andindustrialization, and aiming at the international frontier to give play to theprofessional advantages of OceanUniversity. Basing on thepreparation technique of inorganic materials, organic synthesis technology,chemical engineering software and the development of engineering developmentplatform, and using advanced testing instrument and computer measurement andcontrol system, the laboratory conducts comprehensive utilization of seawaterchemical resource research and developmentwork , environment-friendly functional materials for marine research , marinefine chemicals research and development, preparation of inorganic non-metallicmaterials and nano-materials, development of organic fine chemical products,marine works, materials and technologies and waste utilization technology .
The direction of the research highlights the characteristics ofocean, green and system. On one hand, it reflects the ocean features in manyfields those contains the extraction and comprehensive utilization of seawaterresources such as Bromine, magnesium and lithium, the development of organicfine chemical products, the development of desalination technology and chemicalproduct engineering research .On the other hand, it reflects the green featuresin the fields such as development of Ocean Engineering protection coatings,waste recycling, community water distribution network optimization , chemicalproduct engineering and material preparation process engineering research. Inaddition, new products and technologies is developed by using advanced measuresof computer simulation and optimization , reaching the optimum combination ofdevelopment of computer-aided process and the new or conventional technologieswhich reflects the systemic features .
In the recent three years, Qingdao key laboratory of marine finechemicals undertakes 102 subjects of all levels scientific research, whichcontains 37 state-level scientific research items, 24 provincial scientificresearch subjects,10 city-level scientific research subjects and 51affiliations of horizontal topics and the open foundation of key laboratory.The scientific research funds totaling 57.8418 million yuan.
The research team of "The technology of environment-friendlyfunctional materials for marine protection" was granted the Ministry ofeducation innovation team in 2012. In the recent three years, Qingdao key laboratory of marine finechemicals was awarded 2011 annual Second Prize of ocean innovation progeniesand the First Level Technology Advance Award of Shandong province in 2010. The keylab has achieved many authorized patents, which contain one item of the United States patent, one item of the EuropeanUnion patent, one item of Japanpatent and 26 Chinese invention patents. The key lab has published 246articles, including 130 SCI papers, 50 EI papers.
