On October 7, Dong Fang Hong 3, a new type research vessel of OUC successfully completed a comprehensive scientific expedition, supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

On September 26, 2020, China Fisheries Alliance for New Agriculture (hereinafter referred to as Alliance) was officially established in Qingdao. The Alliance is a non-profit organization launched by OUC.
