On December 14, a University of Arizona (UA) delegation led by the Provost Prof. Andrew Comrie, Prof. Suzanne Panferov, Vice President for Global Affairs, and Prof. Marc Miller, Dean of the Law School, visited OUC.

On November 17th, President Yu Zhigang of Ocean University of China (OUC) met with a delegation from Texas A&M University in OUC’s Xingyuan Building to discuss jointly founding a new research center.

On November 11th, Prof. Kang Dong-Wan, President of Chosun University, led a delegation to Ocean University of China (OUC). President Yu Zhigang of OUC welcomed the guests in the conference facilities in Xingyuan Building and the two parties engaged in discussions about establishing a Confucius Institute at Chosun University and expanding areas of cooperation.

The International Coupled Data Assimilation Symposium, sponsored by OUC’s key laboratory of physical oceanography (under the Ministry of Education) and hosted by Qingdao National Laboratory for Marine Science and Technology (QNLM), was held at QNLM from the 5th to 8th of November, 2017.

The 13th Chinese Annual Symposium on Marine Drugs and the 2017 International Marine Drug Symposium was held in Qingdao from 5th to 9th November.

On October 13, the 15th Annual Meeting of the China Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (CSIAM) convened in Qingdao, sponsored by CSIAM and hosted by Ocean University of China (OUC).

On September 17th, President Yu Zhigang received the delegation led by Dr. Christopher Chindoti Mushohwe, Zimbabwean Minister of Information Media and Broadcasting Services and Executive Director of Presidential Scholarship, and representatives from Hengshun Zhongsheng Group on Laoshan campus.

On August 30, Seychelles Ambassador to China Ms. Vivianne Fock Tave led a delegation of 5 to OUC. President Yu Zhigang and Assistant President Wu Qiangming, also Chairman of the OUC Standing Committee, received the guests in the Second Conference Room of Xingyuan Building where they had a fruitful discussion.
