Upon the centennial celebration of Ocean University of China (OUC), the Fifth International Children’s Literature Symposium was held from October 22 to 24 in Qingdao. On the evening of October 25th, a grand gala was held at the OUC Stadium to celebrate the university’s centenary. Zhang Hui, Deputy Secretary of the Qingdao Municipal Party Committee, Director of the United Front Work Department of Qingdao Municipal Government and an alumnus of OUC, attended the event. More than 3,000 people attended the event.

On the morning of October 24, the Global Conference on Ocean Cooperation and Development, organized by Ocean University of China (OUC), was held in Qingdao. Over 400 participants from marine-related universities, research institutes and international organizations representing 40 countries and regions attended the conference and engaged in discussions on the future of ocean cooperation and development.
