On June 17, Simone Manca, North Asia Marine Vice President of Registro Italiano Navale (RINA), led a delegation to Ocean University of China (OUC). Meng Qingbin, Chairperson of the Qingdao Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and Li Ming, Secretary of the CPC OUC Committee, received the delegation. Li Huajun, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, briefly introduced OUC’s research and development progress in ocean engineering equipment.
The two sides noted that OUC and RINA enjoy broad prospects for cooperation in shipbuilding and offshore engineering. Looking ahead, they will further deepen exchanges, explore paths for mutually beneficial development, and make new and greater contributions to China-Italy blue economy cooperation and to building a maritime community with a shared future.
