
On April 1, a delegation led by Dr. Logan Bannister, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, visited Ocean University of China (OUC). Professor Liu Yong, Vice President of OUC, met with the delegation. The two sides held discussions on deepening inter-university cooperation and expanding exchanges.
Vice President Liu Yong extended a warm welcome to Deputy Vice-Chancellor Logan Bannister and her delegation. He noted that the two universities have built a strong foundation for cooperation and achieved fruitful outcomes. He expressed the hope that this visit would serve as an opportunity to deepen practical cooperation in areas such as computer science and medicine, and to expand academic exchanges in more fields, including foreign linguistics and applied linguistics, so as to achieve mutual benefit and shared development.
Deputy Vice-Chancellor Logan Bannister thanked OUC for its warm reception. She said that Victoria University of Wellington attaches great importance to its partnership with OUC and looks forward to further strengthening exchanges of faculty and students, collaborative research, and joint student training, as well as advancing the establishment of joint laboratories and innovation centers, so as to promote the development of both universities through practical cooperation.
