OUC Held the First International Young Scholars Xingyuan Forum

From December 11 to 12, Ocean University of China (OUC) successfully held the First International Young Scholars Xingyuan Forum. Over 100 young scholars from 18 countries and regions and nearly 1,300 online participants joined the event.



Professor Zhang Junfeng, President of OUC, introduced the university's century-long history and its current vigorous development, as well as its recent progress in faculty team building and talent support. He noted that OUC has thoroughly implemented the guiding instructions in President Xi Jinping’s important reply letter, strengthened the strategy of building the university through talent development, and increased efforts in talent introduction and training. He emphasized that OUC highly values and eagerly welcomes talent, providing a platform for young scholars from around the world to join OUC, develop their careers, and achieve their ambitions.



Yan Lihong, Deputy Director-General of the Qingdao Talent Development Promotion Center, systematically introduced the latest talent policies of Qingdao. Professor Mao Xiangzhao, Director of the Faculty Affairs Department and the Office of Human Resources at OUC, presented the university’s talent policies, promotion and career development pathways, and supporting measures for talent development.



The International Young Scholars Xingyuan Forum is designed as a high-level platform for academic exchange and joint development among outstanding young scholars. It also aims to further enhance OUC’s attractiveness to talent and its international influence, injecting strong momentum into improving the quality and effectiveness of the university’s talent recruitment.
