OUC Held a Group Wedding for its Alumni

On April 5, in celebration of OUC’s upcoming 101th anniversary, OUC hosted the Alumni Group Wedding Ceremony, where 101 alumni couples returned to their alma mater. The number symbolized enduring love and commitment. University leaders attended the ceremony and presented commemorative marriage certificates to the couples. 


At 11:18 a.m., amid the applause and blessings from more than 2,000 guests, the alumni couples made their elegant entrance into the ceremony venue. Prof. Zhang Jing, the Executive Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, officiated the wedding for the 101 couples. She welcomed the newlyweds and their guests, reminiscing how they came from all corners of the country to meet at OUC. Returning to their alma mater with love and for the group wedding signifies a lasting bond between them and the university, as well as the deep affection that the university holds for its alumni across the world. The love shared in this ceremony is as deep as the ocean. Prof. Zhang wished the newlyweds lifelong companionship and unwavering unity. She also encouraged them to carry forward the spirit of OUC’s motto, pursue great dreams on their life journey, and nurture the heartfelt bond with their alma mater.

 

The 101 alumni couples came from various provinces and cities, working in diverse industries. Among them are blissful newlyweds, as well as couples celebrating milestone wedding anniversaries. Before the ceremony, some alumni representatives toured OUC’s four campuses, visited scenic spots in Qingdao, and joined in this grand wedding celebration, wishing each other and their alma mater a joyous celebration.
