On December 4, Prof. Vanessa Potter, Global Vice President of the University of Essex, led a delegation to OUC. Vice President Fan Qiwei met with the guests.

Vice President Fan Qiwei extended a warm welcome to Vice President Potter and her delegation. He introduced OUC, with a focus on its academic strengths and its exchanges with British institutions. He highlighted that OUC has forged long-term stable partnerships with a number of British universities and carried out many productive cooperative projects in recent years. He spoke highly of the collaboration between OUC and the University of Essex on the SQA-AD project, and expressed his hope for both universities to deepen cooperation on talent cultivation, dual-degree programs and exchange of students.

Vice President Potter expressed her thanks for the warm reception. She gave an overview of the University of Essex and its commitment to fostering international exchanges and cooperation. She expected that the two universities could diversify cooperation channels for talent cultivation, facilitate academic exchanges and cooperation in economics, law and other fields of shared interest, and jointly cultivate international talent with a global vision and innovative capabilities.
