On December 20, 2019, the 2019 National Conference on the Universities’ Science and Technology Work was held in Beijing, during which awards were presented. Ocean University of China (OUC) won 5 awards, including a first prize for natural science, a second prize for natural science, a second prize for technological invention and two second prizes for technological progress. OUC ranks the 11th in terms of the number of awards received. It ranked the 13th in 2018. Its award rate reached 62%, far higher than the national average (33%).
