OUC Signs MoU with BSRU, Thailand

  

Vice President Li Huajun signs an MoU with President Linda Gainma of BSRU


On March 27, 2018, the Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University (BSRU) delegation, led by President Linda Gainma and Vice President Preyanuch Kitrungrotcharearn, visited Ocean University of China (OUC) and the two parties signed a cooperative MoU.


OUC Vice President Li Huajun met with President Linda Gainma in the second conference room of the Xingyuan Building to discuss issues related to the future cooperation between the two institutions. Vice President Li extended a warm welcome to the delegation and introduced the history and development of OUC. He made a particular mention of the fruitful results that have been achieved in OUC’s cooperation with higher learning institutions in countries within the Belt and Road initiative and he pointed out the establishment of the China-Thailand Center for Oceanography and Fisheries. He also commended the proactive measures that BSRU has taken to cultivate their students’ global vision and he welcomed the prospect of students from Thailand studying at OUC on student exchange programs.

President Linda Gainma introduced BSRU, which is located in Bangkok city center and has strengths in the humanities and management. It sees the cultivation of students’ global outlook as an important educational goal of, encouraging students to go out and see the world and to experience diverse cultures. She expressed her expectations for sending students to study at OUC and in return said that BSRU would welcome visits from OUC faculty and students.

Prof. Qin Shanghai, Dean of the College of International Education at OUC introduced the college’s current international undergraduate and graduate programs. Prof. Song Wenhong, Director of the OUC International Office moderated the meeting and the two parties successfully developed preliminary cooperative intentions on issues related to international students.
