OUC Vice President Chen Rui met with Ruth Moir, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Heriot-Watt University, UK, on December 2 at the Third Meeting Room of Xingyuan Building.

Chen Rui expressed his welcome to Ruth Moir delegation and introduced OUC history, strength, scale and the strategy of internationalization, proposing that the two universities can start cooperation from computer science before extending into more areas. He said that OUC is committed to bring in the best overseas education resources and will cooperate step by step with Heriot-Watt University in academic research and student exchange.

Ruth Moir thanked Chen Rui, saying that she is also looking forward to more cooperation and exchange more with OUC. 

Ning Aihua, Dean of OUC School of International Education exchanged ideas with the visitors on student exchange especially Heriot-Watt students working for academic degrees and credits at OUC. Prof. Dong Yujun, Heriot-Watt alumnus and Dean of OUC Department of Computer Science and Technology briefed his cooperation with Heriot-Watt in the past years and the plans about more cooperation in the future.

Also present at the meeting were leaders from School of International Education, OUC International Office, and College of Information Science and Engineering.
