OUC Vice President Li Huajun met with Director Ariane Plourde, Prof.Jean-Pierre Gagne and Prof.Xie Huirong from the Institute of Marine Sciences, University of Quebec at Rimouski on September 22, 2016 in the 3rd Meeting Room of Xingyuan Building.

Li welcomed Director Ariane Plourde for his second visit to OUC and reviewed the exchange results both party achieved in July when he visited Rimouski. He said that University of Quebec at Rimouski and Ocean University of China have been keeping on good terms for years and have a great prospect of cooperation in oceanography, chemistry, medicine and pharmacy, as well as students exchange and education.

Ariane Plourde introduced the research focus, research results and team construction of the Institute of Marine Sciences at Rimouski. Professor Jean-Pierre-Gagne introduced his research on marine chemistry and geology. Yu Guangli, Dean of OUC School of Medicine and Pharmacy signed the agreement with Director Ariane Plourde on academic and  research cooperation for better exchange in developing marine drugs between two universities.
