The 3rd National University & Middle School Students Marine Culture Design Contest (NUMSMCD), co-organized by the Publicity and Education Center of the State Oceanic Administration (SOA) and Ocean University of China (OUC) is back in full swing. A series of activities with the theme of “Dream of a Maritime Power” are to be held during the “World Ocean Day” in 2014 by the Organizing Committee.
To popularize marine knowledge, motivate creativity and inspiration, and develop the spirit of innovation and practical ability ,the NUMSMCD contest has been successfully held twice before under the theme of “Ocean • Mankind • Harmony ”and “Beautiful Ocean ,” respectively. This contest has been well accepted by both the universities and the society after the exhibition tours of awarded works at 42 universities in the Chinese mainland and Taiwan.
