Research Contents

Aiming at critical illnesses such as tumor, diabetes and neurodegeneration diseases, and focusing on officinal small molecules, carbohydrates and coordination complexes of natural products (especially marine natural products) which possess bioactivities, we perform chemical syntheses, molecular design, structural modification and structure-activity relationship (SAR) studies through computer-assisted drug design (CADD) and combinatorial chemistry techniques to provide theoretical foundation and candidate compounds for the research and development of innovative drugs.

Major Achievements

We have accomplished 8 projects of national “863”, Natural Science Foundation of China and “973” subprojects in recent years, and now we are taking over 10 State-level projects of “863” and international cooperation. We have made prominent achievements in the syntheses and SAR research of glycoconjugates, glycocomplexes and marine natural products.
