Research Interests:
1. Carbohydrate Chemistry and Carbohydrate-based Drugs: Chemical syntheses of bioactive glycosides and oligosaccharides and study on their functions; Isolation, modification and synthesis of marine oligosaccharides, such as chitooligosaccharides, oligomannuronates and oligofucans for bioactivity evaluation; Development of novel methodology for the synthesis of carbohydrate-containing structures.
2. Marine Natural Product Chemistry: Synthesis of marine natural products with pharmacological activity and their structural optimization for drug candidate development, such as glycolipids and peptides.
